GSEB Std 10 Board Exam Study Plan: A Four-Phase Guide

For many students, Std 10 is the first board exam. A calm plan in clear phases beats last-minute panic every time.
Short answer
Split your prep into four phases: (1) finish the syllabus, (2) revise with notes and active recall, (3) practise papers against the clock, (4) keep the last week light. Always check the latest syllabus and exam timetable on gseb.org.
Phase 1: Cover the syllabus
Go chapter by chapter and note what feels hard. Don't move on from an idea you can't explain. Log your sessions by subject so you spot any imbalance early.
Phase 2: First revision
Squeeze each chapter into a one-page summary or a set of flashcards. Use the spaced schedule to come back to each chapter.
Phase 3: Practise like it's the real exam
Do sample papers and old papers in the real time limit. Mark them strictly, list the mistakes you repeat and fix them. Practise writing answers at the length each question type needs.
Phase 4: The last week
- Revise summaries and formulas. Don't start new chapters.
- Sleep on time. Pack your stationery and hall ticket the night before.
- Do one light recall session per subject each day.
Which subjects get more time?
Give extra time to subjects that are weak and carry many marks in the official paper pattern. Still touch every subject each week. Check the official pattern instead of trusting rumours.
Using StudyTracker in each phase
Set your exam date in the countdown, track time by subject, and ask the AI helper to explain concepts you're stuck on. For Std 12, read the 60-day guide.
